The basic philosophy is that mind, body, and spirit are interconnected and can’t be separated. It goes beyond asanas and explores mental discernment, detachment, and self-awareness. Similar to Buddhism, yoga teaches that ignorance fuels misery and ties us to the cycle of rebirth.
And through several paths and techniques, yoga dissolves this ignorance and leads us to a sense of unity and bliss. The concepts of karma, maya (illusion), and energy flow are fundamental to its principles and guide practitioners towards Moksha, or pure awareness.
